An evening of musicians and movers.

Me (Pamir Kiciman) on the left together with the amazing Victoria Nelson on natural percussion sounds.

A one-minute video of sounds I experimented with while making, rehearsing and producing "ETU" A POETRY-BASED DANCE LITANY (see section below). Two different sounds on a seashell I had painted with a wooden molinillo and soundings on a small frame drum. Fun times!

DESCRIPTION\\ This piece is an offering. It offers solace in the throes of suffering. Sourcing inthe beauty of the natural environment, the material grounds nature's overlooked ability to be a presence. The land serves as refuge for supplication and renewalwhile morphing through loss, beauty, love and memory. Housed in a poem, dancer and poet expressively shape and shift spacetime with movement, words andvocalizations, punctuated by traditional and nontraditional sounds in an emotive landscape that's present and beyond.
